Throughout my life, I have often searched for the answer to why I am here, what my broader contribution is, and what my purpose is. Many times, not just occasionally, but quite often, I would reflect on these questions on my own. I do not know whether other people struggle with these questions as well or if it is just me, but perhaps that is not even important. What I can say, however, is that life is not only about being born, having a childhood, going through school, high school, university, work, marriage, children… all those things. People often live life mechanically and automatically, but I have always felt that there must be a deeper meaning and purpose along that path.
 

And it was probably this decades-long inner need that drew me to come to Reconnection.
 

When someone asks me today what Reconnection has brought into my life and whether it has brought any concrete changes, I always make a comparison. It is like asking someone who is struggling with excess weight: “How did you manage to lose weight?” And they answer: “I changed my diet, introduced physical activity, practiced certain exercises…” Which of those things was crucial? The person does not really know, probably all of them together. In the same way, in my case, I truly believe in Reconnection, I believe in energy, and I believe it was precisely that which initiated and deepened all my interests in personal development and opened a new path for me.
 

The point is that we should sit with ourselves and become aware of the present moment. Here is one small detail that first comes to mind. It is beautiful when people still know how to enjoy small things and when they are conscious of the moment. A few days ago, one detail especially inspired me. I planted jasmine on my terrace, and after maybe ten days, the first flower appeared. I cannot describe my excitement. Someone else might be happy to receive one hundred and one roses, but that first jasmine flower brought me so much joy that I felt happy like a little child, simply because I saw the first flower blooming on my terrace.
 

What I want to say is: appreciate the small things, respect other people, and, ultimately, be good human beings. Every Reconnection, just like everything else we do to work on ourselves, actually brings us back to ourselves, to nature, and to becoming better people in this world.
